FAIRFAX, Marin County — November 4, 2026. Larry Bragman and Matt Da Cunha held the top two positions in the town of Fairfax’s early City Council results. The town is electing two members; a close separation between first and second place leaves the final order subject to updated counting.
The first council numbers
According to KQED’s November 3, 11:13 p.m. report, Larry Bragman received 933 candidate selections (31.1%) and Matt Da Cunha had 906 (30.2%). Susan Denise Adams stood third with 768 (25.6%); other candidates also appeared on the ballot. Da Cunha’s reported lead over Adams was 138 selections at that point. These are not final certified totals.
Separate elections for clerk and treasurer
Fairfax also voted on other municipal offices. In the race for town clerk, Bruce Ackerman had 818 votes (53.3%) versus Deborah Benson’s 715 (46.6%). Talia Friedman was the only candidate listed in the initial town-treasurer results, with 1,235 votes. These contests do not share the same voting rules as a two-seat council election.
What happens next?
Council members oversee local spending, planning, streets, emergency preparedness and community services. The figures are first-night results and can change as the county processes additional ballots.
